DONALD Trump’s second course at his International Golf Links has reached its half way point.

The Macleod course, which is dedicated to Mr Trump’s mother, is being designed by Martin Hawtree, a renowned golf course designer.

Mr Hawtree created the first course at the Aberdeenshire resort which opened in 2012.

Celebrating the milestone, Sarah Malone, Executive Vice President at Trump International posted on LinkedIn that “the excitement was mounting.”

“Incredible progress is being made on our new championship links,” she continued.

“We’ve reached the half way milestone and the course construction is already exceeding all expectations.”

The golf course which is situated in Balmedie, welcomed Trump golf colleagues from around the world for an exclusive pre opening course tour.

Ms Malone teased that “the greatest 36 holes in golf” is coming soon.
