Senior project manager appointment at Expro well abandonment services

Oilfield services provider, Expro, has strengthened its well abandonment services with the appointment of senior project manager, Bill Inglis.

Expro launched four new business capabilities last year, including fully integrated well abandonment services encompassing; late-life reservoir management, permanent reservoir abandonment and post abandonment monitoring.

Bill brings more than 25 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, including drilling and completions superintendent for Hess Denmark, as well as single point accountability (SPA) wells decommissioning, for BP. This included a range of onshore and offshore decommissioning activity across the Schiehallion Claw, Don and Magnus fields.

In his new position for Expro, Bill is responsible for the planning, management and execution of integrated well abandonment services, ensuring a single point of contact for the client.

Bill commented: “The role of decommissioning is a complex one, which brings with it a number of challenges. Each project is different and requires a careful approach to safely and efficiently completing these campaigns.

“We continue to focus on adding value to our clients by working with the latest technology to create efficient practices, ensuring they deliver these projects on time and on cost.”

Bill holds a BSc degree in Engineering from Glasgow Caledonian University as well as an advanced diploma in Drilling Operations.
