ABERDEEN-headquartered ships agency and marine support business, Ffolkes Offshore has appointed a new director to its board, as the company continues to experience significant growth.
Shaun Eardley joins the business having been a minority shareholder since 2016.

Ffolkes Offshore, which was established in 2009, is an independent, full-service ships agency and marine support company, providing logistics services to the offshore maritime and energy industry.
The business employs a team of 16 and has bases in Aberdeen, Montrose and Lowestoft to service those ports, as well as Peterhead and Lerwick.
Mr Eardley, who has 40 years’ experience in the shipping industry, primarily in ships agency and port and offshore logistics, will be responsible for helping develop the company as a whole, while guiding the business through an expected period of continued rapid expansion.
Previously Mr Eardley was the co-owner and managing director of ships agency Seletar Shipping, which operated in the offshore, freight management and logistics sectors, and was acquired by ASCO Marine in 2009. He remained as managing director of the company until his departure in 2015.
Throughout his career, Mr Eardley has served on the boards of organisations involved in recruitment, graphic design and digital imaging, commercial property, facilities management.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr Eardley said: “Having left the shipping industry a number of years ago, I really missed the day-to-day challenges that it poses. So when I was asked if I would like to extend my involvement with an invitation to join the board of directors, I couldn’t say no.
“The company has grown significantly since its inception four or so years ago and I look forward to working with the team as it continues on this journey.”
Ffolkes Offshore managing director, Ben Sutherland, said: “Shaun brings with him a huge amount of experience and has a skill set that really complements those of the existing board members.
“We have no doubt he’ll make a valuable contribution to the business as we continue to aim towards ongoing growth and long-term success.”
