Six unsigned bands from across the north-east will perform at Banff Castle this weekend during Loud Mouth, a two-night live music event taking place on Friday 22 and Saturday 23 May.
With warm weather forecast for the weekend, performances will take place between 7pm and 10pm each evening in the grounds of Banff Castle.
Friday night features The Funky Red Pandas, Ugly Clinic and the iODYNES while Saturday’s line-up includes Target 5, Bad Actress and Danny Mortimer.
Jo Edwards, Project Officer at Banff Castle Community Association, said:
“Loud Mouth is about giving local unsigned bands an opportunity to perform while creating a relaxed live music atmosphere for the community to enjoy.
“There will be no alcohol sales at the event and the Castle Garden Café will be open on both nights. Everyone is free to come and go throughout the evening using their wristbands and we encourage people to bring seats, picnics and simply enjoy the atmosphere.
“We’ve also introduced a simple flat-rate ticket price of £10 per person per evening, with tickets available online via Eventbrite or at the gate.”

Banff Castle stands in the heart of Banff, Aberdeenshire, and is one of the area’s most significant historic buildings. The Georgian mansion, designed by John Adam in 1750, sits on the site of earlier castles dating back to the 12th century.
Today, Banff Castle is managed by the Banff Castle Community Association (BCCA), a volunteer-led organisation dedicated to preserving the building and delivering a wide range of community events, activities, and heritage projects that serve the local area and beyond.
