Meanwhile, Samantha Thompson has been promoted to the role of assistant manager for Skene House’s commercial department. Samantha joined the company almost a decade ago, originally in the housekeeping department before working as a breakfast waitress then on reception and in reservations. She has wide knowledge of Skene House’s portfolio across the city centre.

Completing the hat-trick of appointments, former Skene House receptionist Scott Cairns has been promoted to the role of reservationist after working with the company for four years. During that time, he has gathered considerable experience in various areas of the business and has worked as a concierge and receptionist whilst simultaneously furthering his experience in reservations on an ad hoc basis.

Skene House properties occupy prime locations in Aberdeen, namely Skene House Whitehall, Skene House Rosemount and Skene House Holburn. All three venues pride themselves on a relaxing, “home from home” atmosphere and offer a combined total of 189 studios, one, two and three bedroom apartments. Skene House Whitehall recently marked the milestone achievement of retaining the number one spot on the TripAdvisor® listings for Aberdeen hotels for the past five years, uninterrupted, with sister venue Skene House Rosemount at number two.

Commenting on the new-look sales team, Skene House Commercial Manager Angela Greenhalgh said: “A critical part of the success of our business lies in having the right people in place as we prepare to embrace the challenges and opportunities of 2017 and beyond.

“Creating a balance of new faces and those with thorough knowledge of our company correctly positions Skene House to maximise our potential, as well as continuing to offer the high levels of customer service upon which our reputation is built.”
