North-east SNP MPs have visited Thainstone Mart and met with members of ANM Group’s board for a discussion on current issues.

MPs Dave Doogan (Angus and Perthshire Glens), Westminster Leader Stephen Flynn (Aberdeen South), Seamus Logan (Aberdeenshire North and Moray East) and Graham Leadbitter (Moray West, Badenoch and Strathspey) met with ANM Group Chair Mike Macaulay and Chief Executive Grant Rogerson where they discussed current rural issues and had the opportunity to see the mart in operation.

Commenting, SNP Westminster Rural Affairs spokesperson Seamus Logan MP said:

“The North-east has a proud history as the pre-eminent livestock rearing and producing area of Scotland and ANM Group have played a vital role in that down through the years.

“It was a pleasure to meet with senior management to hear their thoughts on the sector and rural affairs more generally.

“ANM Group are a highly-successful farmer-owned business which has developed and evolved over the years and continues to do so today.  I wish them continued success as we move forward.”
