The Law Practice Solicitors and Estate Agents is to celebrate ten year of business by benefiting ten individual charities in the north east and contribute to the local community that has helped the company develop over the decade.

Principal solicitor, Margaret Waldron who founded the practice in 2005, said: “Business has flourished since moving into our fresh, cosy Holburn Street premises a year ago and it’s time to thank those who have helped us get here. Giving back is important. Corporate social responsibility is a big part of The Law Practice. During 2015 we’ll support one charity for each year we’ve been in business. Each cause has been handpicked by the team. That way, each charitable effort really means something at The Law Practice.”
Since January The Law Practice has pledged support to Give Blood Scotland, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Aberlour Child Care Trust and Cfine, the lead partner of the Food Banks Partnership Aberdeen.
Fiona Rae, deputy chief executive at Cfine, which provides food parcels to those in poverty in the city, said: “In just a month, the small but mighty team at The Law Practice has provided us with more than 100 items to deliver to food banks across the city. Cfine is delighted to receive this pledge and the regular donations over the year will benefit many individuals and families in Aberdeen. This support is hugely important to the ongoing service we deliver and has already helped many accessing the food bank facility.”
The Law Practice has gone from strength to strength in the past decade, now boasting a team of twelve. Margaret continued: “Last year we launched a leasing company, increased staff and introduced an independent mortgage advisor on-site. But, as we embark on year ten, the ethos remains the same as day one.
“We’re honest, reliable and interested: what a solicitor should be. But we merge these traditional values with a fresh, energetic and contemporary outlook to set us apart. We make it our purpose to smile, share stories and celebrate traditions. That’s where Cake Friday comes in. We put our heart and soul into every transaction and we get our clients there, whatever it takes.”
