As part of its ‘Hello Neighbour’ campaign, Aberdeen-based charity Somebody Cares is inviting businesses from across Aberdeen to step inside its headquarters at Royfold House, Hill of Rubislaw, for a relaxed open morning designed to connect the city’s corporate community with the work taking place to support people facing hardship locally.

Following the success of the charity’s previous open morning on March 25th, which welcomed twelve companies, the organisation is once again opening its doors to business leaders and teams who are interested in learning more about how they can support communities across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire while building meaningful local partnerships.

The informal event will offer an opportunity for guests to meet the team and volunteers behind Somebody Cares, tour the charity’s facilities and gain a deeper understanding of the practical support and community connection it provides year-round.

Charity CEO, Yekemi Otaru notes, “The March open morning was a success so we’re delighted to again be opening our doors to the many businesses in and around Aberdeen. Whether you already know about our work or you’re new to what Somebody Cares Aberdeen, you’re most welcome to attend our open morning tour. It’s an exciting time for the charity and we can’t wait to show attendees around our facilities.”

Operations’ head, Alison Topley, explains, “The support we receive from local residents and the business community is incredible. But the need in our community is ongoing – our work continues all year round, and it is only possible thanks to the dedication of our volunteers and the support of local partners. We would love to see more businesses get involved. Working with Somebody Cares is a meaningful way for companies to support their local community while also contributing to their environmental and corporate social responsibility goals.”

Businesses attending the event will learn more about the different ways organisations can partner with Somebody Cares, from volunteering and team engagement opportunities to fundraising initiatives and longer-term collaborations that help strengthen support for those who need it most.

The open morning will take place at Royfold House, Hill of Rubislaw, offering guests a chance to tour the facilities, learn more about the charity’s incredible impact and meet the people behind the work.

Whether attending out of curiosity, interest in community partnership or a desire to support local initiatives, the Somebody Cares team looks forward to welcoming members of Aberdeen’s business community and beginning new conversations about how care and community can work hand in hand.
