Specsavers Aberdeen is expanding access to hearing care with the launch of a brand-new home visits audiology service, bringing specialist hearing services and ear wax removal directly to customers in the comfort of their own homes.
Officially launching on 3 August, the service will support customers across Aberdeen, Inverurie, Ellon, Fraserburgh, and the whole of Grampian currently including all AB postcodes, DD9 and DD10. Customers will be able to book directly with the business, making it easier than ever to access expert hearing care without travelling to a store.
The service, which is for those who can’t leave their home unaccompanied, has been introduced in response to growing demand, particularly from customers living with mobility issues or long-term health conditions.
The service will also benefit customers whose local Specsavers store does not currently offer ear wax removal, allowing them to access professional treatment in the comfort of their own home.
Led by hearing aid audiologist and partner Zarah Bryce, and supported by partners Ian McLellan and Mark Ranken, who bring more than 20 years of combined audiology experience, the home visits team will provide comprehensive hearing assessments, hearing device fittings and aftercare, alongside professional ear wax removal, making the service more accessible than ever.
Providing care at home also enables the team to assess hearing in the environment where they communicate every day, while giving family members or carers the opportunity to be involved where appropriate.
The launch of this new business builds on Specsavers Aberdeen’s continued investment in hearcare, including the recent qualification of two additional ear wax practitioners at the Aberdeen store on Union Street. Together, these developments support the business’ priority to provide access to hearing care and professional ear wax removal for customers across the north east, both in store and at home.

The new service also complements Specsavers established home visits optical services, enabling more customers to access both eye and hearing care through a single trusted provider.
