Families across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire are being encouraged to secure their spots as bookings open for Sport Aberdeen’s popular Summer Holiday Camps.

Running from July 6 to August 7 at venues across the city, the camps are open to children aged five to 12 and offer a packed programme designed to keep young people active, social and engaged throughout the school break.

With a focus on fun, inclusion and skill-building, the camps provide a safe and supportive environment where children can try new activities, build confidence and make new friends regardless of their experience level.

New for 2026 is a dedicated Netball Camp, giving participants the chance to develop their abilities on court through a mix of structured training and games. Sessions will focus on core techniques such as ball handling, footwork, passing and shooting, all delivered by experienced coaches.

Alongside this, the popular Multi-Sport Holiday Camp returns to Get active @ Cults with a five-week programme featuring activities including athletics, basketball, football, dodgeball, rugby, tennis and volleyball. Each day is designed to keep children engaged through a balance of games, challenges and skill-based sessions.

Children can attend for a single day or book a full week, with those opting for a full week receiving a free camp T-shirt. Camps run daily from 8.30am to 4.30pm, with participants grouped by age.

Kim McRobbie, Active Schools & EDI Manager at Sport Aberdeen, said: “Our holiday camps are a fantastic way for children to keep active and stimulated throughout the summer. They get the chance to try new sports and make friends in a fun and welcoming environment.

“The camps are designed to be a place where children feel safe and can have fun while building their confidence, developing new skills and discovering new activities.

“Whether they attend for a day or the full week, there’s truly something for every child.”

In addition to the core multi-sport and netball options, families can choose from a range of specialist programmes, including Multi-Sport with Tennis, Multi-Sport with Snowsports at Adventure Aberdeen Snowsports Centre, and outdoor-focused Adventure Camps.

With demand expected to be high, families are being urged to book early to avoid disappointment.
