‘Spy’ to give local business group motivational talk

08/01/2018

Members of local business networking group Grampian Business Finder will get some New Year motivation from local ex special services and Channel 4 Spies advisor Dean Stott, at a special event at Pittodrie Stadium on 16th January before he sets off in February for a gruelling world record attempt.

Mr Stott spent 2017 in training to cycle the 14,000 mile Pan American Highway in under 110 days. The challenge aims to raise £1 million for Heads Together, the charity headed up by Prince Harry who served with Dean; and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Grampian Business Finder is a Facebook group of 8,495 Members run by Aberdeen marketing company This Little Piggy to combat the oil and gas downturn by providing a platform for sourcing and promoting local businesses. The events which started in March 2017 allow Members to meet in person and build stronger business relationships.

Karen Stewart of This Little Piggy said, “I’m delighted that Dean has offered to come and speak to the Grampian Business Finders, especially so soon to him setting off on his epic record attempt”, she continued “January can be a time of decreased motivation and quiet trading in some sectors, so his motivational talk will provide a welcome boost”. Karen added “we are keeping the standard £10 ticket price the same for this event to make it as accessible as possible to a range of budgets; and to encourage any donations attendees might like to make to the worthy cause Dean is supporting, mental health being an issue affecting so many lives”.
