Brown bin collections are to be suspended over the festive holiday period for four weeks from Monday (15 December).
Due to an ongoing shortage of mechanics, a number of vehicles being identified as having manufacturing faults and wider delays in vehicle parts, the suspension will allow for wheeled and communal bin collections to be prioritised.
During this time, residents will be unable to report any missed brown bin collections and can use general waste bins can be used for food waste.
Collections will resume from Tuesday 13 January.

Garden waste collections are non-statutory and demand is lower during the winter months.
Household Waste and Recycling Centres’ will remain open and accepting excess waste throughout the festive period (apart from Christmas Day and New Years Day).
