New night services, extended airport routes and improved regional links to launch from 7 July
Stagecoach North Scotland has announced a series of significant timetable and route updates set to take effect from Monday 7 July 2025, enhancing public transport options across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Inverness, Moray and Buchan.
The changes include the introduction of late-night services, improved airport access, and more frequent connections between key cities and rural communities. Among the most notable updates is the extension of the popular 727 Aberdeen Airport service to Portlethen and Stonehaven, incorporating links to the P&J Live arena and replacing the former X9 route.
A new trial route, the 737, will also launch this summer, providing direct connections between Blackburn, Aberdeen Airport and Dyce Rail Station.
Stagecoach has also restructured services 10 and M96 to offer a combined half-hourly frequency between Aberdeen and Inverness. The revised route includes improved access to Inverness Airport and new stops at Dalcross Rail Station and Eastgate, aiming to reduce journey times and strengthen regional links.
For those travelling later in the day, a new night service—the N8—will operate between Aberdeen, Portlethen and Stonehaven on Friday and Saturday evenings.
