Gray O’Brien, Bill Ward, Ricky Norwood, Tristan Gemmill and Ben Nealon will lead the cast of Twelve Angry Men when the acclaimed courtroom drama arrives at Aberdeen’s His Majesty’s Theatre this September.
The stage adaptation of the 1957 film, which received three Academy Award nominations, will run at the theatre from Tuesday 15 to Saturday 19 September as part of a nationwide tour.
A tense and thought-provoking drama, Twelve Angry Men follows a jury tasked with deciding the fate of a young man accused of murdering his father. What initially seems to be an open-and-shut case quickly develops into a complex moral dilemma, as the jurors’ assumptions, prejudices and personal beliefs are put under intense scrutiny.

It is sure to be a fantastic night of theatre.”
The cast is led by Gray O’Brien, widely known for playing Tony Gordon in Coronation Street and for stage roles including A Game Called Malice. He is joined by Bill Ward, whose television credits include Charlie Stubbs in Coronation Street and James Barton in Emmerdale, and who is currently touring in The Shawshank Redemption.
Ricky Norwood, best known as Fatboy in EastEnders, also stars alongside Tristan Gemmill, who played Dr Adam Trueman in Casualty and has appeared in The Bodyguard in the West End. Ben Nealon, recognised for his role as Captain Jeremy Forsythe in Soldier Soldier, completes the leading line-up.
