Local tourism professional Kelly McAlpine has been included in the prestigious 2024 Top 100 Women in Tourism list, a peer-nominated accolade celebrating outstanding contributions to the Scottish tourism industry.

Kelly McAlpine is managing director of Dalriada Luxury Lodges by Stonehaven -eight purpose built holiday homes on the coast. As the head of the family-run business, Kelly has earned widespread admiration and praise from guests for her exceptional standards of customer service. Her dedication to inclusivity and accessibility at Dalriada is unparalleled, as she has actively pursued training on diverse topics, from the lodges becoming autism-inclusive to mastering digital marketing, data utilisation, dark skies tourism and more.

The Top 100, launched in 2018 by Women in Tourism, aims to highlight the achievements of women who demonstrate passion, innovation, and excellence in tourism across Scotland. This year’s list was highly competitive, with a record 250 nominations representing women from every corner of the sector.

Kelly says of the award:

The 2024 list includes women from diverse areas such as front of house, tour operations, food and beverage, HR, events, rural tourism and transport, spanning locations from Shetland to the Scottish Borders, Islay to Fife, Inverness to Dundee, and beyond. Kelly McAlpine’s inclusion is a testament to her commitment and impact within the local tourism community, exemplifying the spirit of Scottish tourism.
