A Stonehaven-based transport company founded in 1985 has been acquired by Scottish investment group TB Corporations Ltd, marking a significant milestone for the business whilst ensuring continuity for staff, customers, and the wider community.

A&I Coaches Ltd has operated across Aberdeenshire for almost 40 years, delivering school transport, taxi services, and vehicle maintenance to residents, businesses, and local authorities. The acquisition represents a new chapter for the well-established firm whilst preserving the brand and services that customers have relied on for decades.

Staff and operations retained

All employees have been retained as part of the transition, ensuring continuity of service and preserving the experience and knowledge that have underpinned the company’s long-standing success. Operations will continue unchanged from the company’s base at Spurryhillock Industrial Estate, with all existing services – including school transport contracts and local taxi operations – continuing as normal.

The business will continue trading under the A&I Coaches name, maintaining the brand recognition that customers have trusted throughout its near-40-year history. The new ownership aims to build on the company’s strong foundations whilst exploring opportunities to strengthen services and support sustainable long-term growth.
