“The past 21 years with Harran have been an amazing journey for the Harran team, which has seen us develop from a start-up to a leading position on the UK Continental Shelf.  This collaboration will allow our business to build on our strong domestic position to take our highly regarded service offering to a wider, global audience in partnership with OEG Offshore.” said Harran’s founder and Managing Director, Ralph Hume.

Harran was founded in 1995 by Ralph Hume, the present Managing Director who intends to retire subsequent to the successful completion of this strategic collaboration.  Harran has developed to employ 35 people and is estimated to now hold a market share of 75% of all helifuel requirements on the UK Continental Shelf.

Harran also owns and operates a rental fleet of 700 specialist offshore tanks, all of which have been manufactured to the highest IMDG codes and the internationally recognised standards of DNV 2.7-1/EN12079/IMO 860.  These tanks are used for the carriage of Jet A-1 aviation fuel, chemicals, waste oil and potable water to and from offshore platforms, drilling rigs, FPSOs and accommodation vessels.

We are delighted to commence this new strategic collaboration with Harran which shall see our companies integrate together to offer each companies complementary range of product and services to a global audience in an efficient manner.” said OEG Offshore Chief Executive John Heiton.

OEG Offshore continues its growth strategy to develop its geographic and product offering as it expands operations across Europe, Africa, Middle East, Caspian, Asia and the Americas.

Recent acquisitions include Paragon Industries in the USA earlier in 2017 alongside the AOR Container Group in 2016, which opened up Norway and other African regions.
