Subsea service provider completes two-phase deal with Total

ABERDEENSHIRE subsea service provider, Rever Offshore, has confirmed the completion of a two-phase contract with French oil giant Total on its North Sea production assets.

The firm, based in Westhill, started an onshore project management and engineering campaign, followed by an initial 41-day offshore operation and subsequent 10-day campaign.

It undertook essential inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) work on a number of Total’s North Sea production assets.

The work also included the completion of two construction projects, which included the installation, hook-up and protection of a 2.6km electrical cable.

Using the Rever Polaris offshore construction vessel, the firm said it expects to complete a number of campaign for total in 2020.

Barry Macleod, Rever Offshore chief executive officer, said:  “This contract signifies that Rever not only continues to operate during this challenging period, but that we remain a trusted contractor, invested in keeping staff safe during all our operations, no matter the environment and circumstances.”
