Adaptive Surveys is branching out, opening a new location in Glasgow with two surveyors based locally and hoping to expand further this year.
Adaptive, a land and measured building survey specialist, was founded in January 2022 and is based in Westhill, Aberdeenshire. It has grown to be one of the biggest in the North East of Scotland, after more than tripling in size in its first three years after launching.
Founder Jamie Watt launched the business, which specialises in dimensional point cloud surveys for the built environment, following a number of years working as a chartered surveyor in the private sector before moving to a global oil services firm where he managed the construction portfolio in Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Adaptive Surveys use laser scanning and point cloud technology to build highly accurate 2D and 3D models in less time than traditional methods. These can be used to reduce project delivery times and risks during maintenance or construction projects.
With this new location in the Central Belt, Jamie Watt is hoping to expand to be an industry leader for the whole of Scotland. He commented:
