SWIRE Energy Services (SES) announces today the appointment of Gary Lindsay into the role of General Manager UK. Gary joins the UK regional team from SES’ Kuala Lumpur office and will be based in Aberdeen, reporting to Wayne Manning, Vice President Oil & Gas.
Prior to his appointment, Gary was Commercial Manager for SES’ Asia Pacific (APAC) region. Since joining SES in 2012, his career has included a variety of business development and commercial roles within the offshore cargo carrying unit (CCU) sector. With almost 20 years’ experience across European and APAC markets, Gary has successfully delivered a number of projects and solutions for a broad range of CCU lifting equipment and associated services for locally based and international customers.

Gary has extensive experience within the energy industry, and a strong technical and commercial background. Having obtained qualifications in Mechanical Engineering and Business Management, and currently studying a Master of Business Administration at Heriot-Watt University, his capabilities include business development, project management and asset management.
In his new role, Gary will lead the strategic development and growth of the UK region across a range of market sectors – including oil & gas, wind and aviation – through the delivery of the current product and service portfolio, with a major focus on safety, sustainability and best-in-class service.
