ACUMEN Financial Planning, headquartered in Aberdeenshire, has grown its presence in the West of Scotland with the opening of a new office in Glasgow. The team, made up of 12 financial planning experts, has made the move to the West End location following significant growth throughout the company’s divisions. The presence of Acumen Financial Planning in Glasgow began in 2017 with the acquisition of Forty-Two Financial Planning.

Previously located in the Southside of the city, the Glasgow division will be headed up by Regional Manager Laura Crowe, a Chartered Financial Planner with over 20 years’ experience within the financial sector. Laura will be supported in leading the Acumen team by Chartered Financial Planner Tom Hyslop, Paraplanners Amanda McLardie, Madailein Alexander and Steven Hurley, Training and Competence Supervisor, Pauline McKinley and Client Relationship Manager, Melanie Shields. Laura will also oversee the management of the group’s most recent acquisition.

The office move follows the firm’s acquisition of award-winning wealth management practice Loch Fyne Financial in 2021, which saw the company gain five new members of staff including Certified Financial Planner Jackie Coyne, Financial Planner Paul Ross, Client Services Manager Lisa Hodgson, Technical Support, Joanne McIntyre and most recently, Paraplanner Emma Leitch. Founding Director of Loch Fyne Financial, Douglas McIntyre retired from the business in May of this year.

Laura Crowe, Regional Manager at Acumen Financial Planning said: “The new office opening, acquisitions and appointments highlight a significant and exciting time for the business. Having a presence within the cities in which we operate is so important, as it enables us to offer clients a space where they can access bespoke, high-quality financial planning advice. We are finding more than ever in recent years, that after the pandemic, face to face advice is appreciated more than ever. We look forward to welcoming our clients and the wider team to our new location.”

The new Glasgow office is hiring for new members of staff. For more on Acumen Financial Planning Glasgow please visit: https://www.afpglasgow.com/about
