Established in 2009 by Knight Property Group Founder and Chairman James Barrack, major beneficiaries this time around include Bethany Christian Trust which has received £5,000 to support members of the community who are vulnerable to homelessness in Aberdeen.

Founded in 1983, Bethany Christian Trust is a national charity dedicated to ending homelessness in Scotland. Its mission is to relieve the suffering and meet the long term needs of homeless and vulnerable people in Scotland by partnering with communities, churches, organisations, local and national government, to offer tailored support and services. Over the years, it has served thousands of vulnerable people from Stornoway to Dumfries, to Inverness, to Edinburgh.

Stevie Stacy, Aberdeen Manager said: “This generous donation means that we will continue to be able to run Toastie Club, our weekly drop in that serves around 35 individuals every week and provides each individual with a meal, conversation, and the opportunity to be a part of a community and referred for additional support elsewhere if needed.

It also means we will be able to continue to support women and families in Torry, and across Aberdeen, that are struggling with parenting, mental health issues, physical health issues and poverty, etc.; and continue to provide necessary addiction recovery support in Torry as well to those who are wanting freedom from their addictions. We could not do the work we do without generous supporters like yourself- so thank you!”

James Barrack said: “We are truly humbled by the work undertaken by all the charities and grateful that we are able to offer support. The Bethany Christian Trust is providing valuable and much-needed services and we are proud to support them.”

The Trust is solely supported and funded by Knight Property Group. It aims to assist organisations cope with the decrease in charitable donations for specific projects due to the economic climate faced at the time. Over the years, the Trust has donated more than £1.2m to over 200 registered charities throughout Scotland.
