The Foundry unveils stylish transformation after major investment

LOCAL favourite, The Foundry in Aberdeen, has reopened its doors to the public following an extensive makeover, bringing a fresh and modern ambiance to the heart of the city. The transformation, backed by a substantial £277,000 investment from Stonegate Group, the UK’s largest pub company, signals a shift from a sports-focused pub to a family-friendly food destination, catering to the diverse tastes of the local community.

The interior of The Foundry has undergone a vibrant makeover, with warm hues of copper, red, and orange creating a cosy atmosphere. The seating has been upgraded to comfortable booths, providing an inviting setting for family gatherings or casual meetups with friends. Even the exterior has received a facelift, now adorned in the striking red and gold colours of Aberdeen Football Club.

The revamped menu at The Foundry reflects a traditional pub experience, offering a range of dishes from full Scottish breakfasts to delectable burgers, steaks, and small plates, making it an ideal spot for family lunches or dinner outings. As the festive season approaches, the pub introduces a Christmas menu featuring holiday favourites, ensuring a delightful setting for seasonal celebrations.

Adding to the allure is a new cocktail menu featuring long drinks and spritzes, complemented by popular lagers and IPAs on draft. The aim is to create unforgettable evenings that go beyond just great food.

The Foundry External

Mark Joseph, General Manager with over 12 years of experience, expressed excitement about the expansion of offerings. “The Foundry is a friendly venue offering delicious food, great drinks, and unforgettable experiences. We are confident the investment will help put the site on the map even more, and the pub will remain a local favourite for family lunches, disco nights, and match day visits.”

While retaining its reputation as a sports hub, The Foundry has upgraded its technology with HD sound systems and an impressive array of 39 TVs and 4 big screens, tuned to popular sports channels including Sky Sports. It’s a sports enthusiast’s haven for watching UFC, Rugby, Boxing, or NFL.

The pub is set to host various evening events, including DJ sets, live Jukebox nights, and live music performances by local artists. Special events like ‘Boogie in The Bar’ and a monthly disco event cater to diverse tastes, ensuring a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere.

The grand reopening party featured live performances by local bands and a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Dave Cormack, owner of Aberdeen Football Club, making it a community event to remember.
