Over 250 North of Scotland wedding industry professionals recently gathered at the Doubletree by Hilton Treetops Hotel in Aberdeen for the Top Tier Awards.

The awards aim to celebrate and reward the many top level wedding venues and suppliers who are based in the North.

Over twenty awards were announced and presented at the black tie event and one lucky couple who had voted were drawn as the winners of a sunshine break.

John Anderson of Elite Promotions who host and sponsor the event said “These awards only started last year but the wedding industry has really taken to the format in a highly positive manner. The awards are decided purely by the votes and recommendations of brides and grooms following their big day when they name the three top suppliers they used giving  gold, silver and bronze votes.

“These days a wedding can use up to 30 suppliers ranging from large international brand names to individuals who run their small business from home. The size of the business is not relevant in these awards so to be voted in the top three for the high level of service they delivered is an achievement to be proud of.

“Around 300 wedding suppliers in the North of Scotland received at least one vote with the top performers being short listed as finalists We are delighted the event seems to be growing year on year and we are already looking forward to the 2019 event and voting for this will open at the end of January.”
