Topsides UK, a two-day conference and exhibition for the North-east oil and gas industry, is returning to Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre for a second year, taking place on 13 and 14 June 2017.
The event, which is now under SPE Aberdeen management, backed by the Oil and Gas Authority, and supported by an operator-led technical committee, will provide a platform for the industry to discuss key areas affecting every stage of topside operations, including production efficiency improvement, maintaining and improving integrity, and appropriate topsides technology.

Steve Cromar, Chair of SPE Continued Education for Aberdeen, said: “Topsides UK provides a platform for the industry to come together to highlight current trends in topside operations, present innovation solutions, and share lessons learned, values that are at the heart of SPE Aberdeen.
The conference will build on the Industry established forums such as Production Efficiency Task Force (PETF), and the exhibition will offer a unique opportunity for the supply chain to showcase the latest technology and innovations.”
Brenda Wyllie, Northern North Sea and West of Shetland Area Manager, OGA said: “The Topsides UK conference will once again invite positive discussions between operators and the supply chain, and we are looking forward to facilitating these.
“Last year, during the keynote speeches, OGA Operations Director Gunther Newcombe highlighted the importance of topsides in delivering maximum economic recovery of the UK’s oil and gas resources. Based on the abstracts that we have already received, there are many positive and powerful case studies to be shared from the past 12 months.”
