ABERDEENSHIRE business Transform has welcomed apprentices under a new scheme introduced this month.
Transform delivers office fit-out, commercial construction and refurbishment services throughout the north-east and Scotland. Its four-year trade apprenticeships will include on-the-job practical training and attendance at North East Scotland College (NESCol) to attain full qualification.
The scheme is starting with three apprentices from Aberdeen: Bailey Milne and Adam Mazur will become joiners and Ethan Clark will train to be a painter.
Construction director, Steven Young, will oversee the apprenticeship scheme. “Training the next generation shows our confidence in the continued growth of our business in the north-east. We have a five-year plan in place to continue to expand the programme across more trades and graduate roles.

Bailey Milne, 17, decided to move straight into an apprenticeship after leaving school on the advice of friends and family. His sights are set on learning joinery and perhaps moving into management in the future. Adam Mazur, 20, has also taken up a joinery apprenticeship. He left school two years ago and now feels ready for hands-on experience to gain a qualified trade.
The third apprentice, Ethan Clark, 16, will train as a painter. Another recent school-leaver, he has been working alongside his father for the past six month but is eager to branch out and learn new skills.
