TWO Aberdeenshire businesses are preparing to battle it out against companies from across the UK in the Rural Business Awards final.

Jane Craigie Marketing and Rural Youth Project will represent Turriff in the Best Rural Professional Services Business and Best Rural Social Enterprise, Charity or Community Project categories in this year’s event.

Jane Craigie Marketing specialises in digital marketing, PR and media for brands in agriculture, food and the rural environment.

The Rural Youth Project is an international grassroots movement for positive change hoping to empower young people aged 18 to 28 to develop their leadership, enterprise and activism skills.

Speaking ahead of the final, Rebecca Dawes, Rural Youth Project co-founder and director said: “This year hasn’t been easy, but we’ve been proud of how we’ve adapted, and being in the running for the finals is a testament to our hard work and determination.”

The final, being held virtually and in association with Amazon, will take place on February 25.
