THE managing partner of an Aberdeen accountancy firm has completed a remarkable UK awards double.
Simon Cowie, who established Infinity Partnership in 2009, has been named 2022 Practice Pioneer of the Year at the Accounting Excellence Awards. He previously won the individual honour at the British Accountancy Awards – the other major industry event – in 2016.
The Accounting Excellence Awards were held at Tobacco Dock in London.

As a practice, Infinity is a five-time winner at the British Accountancy Awards. The firm has won more than 30 awards in total, including successes at awards ceremonies held by leading accountancy software brands Iris and Sage.
Simon is also a two-time winner of the Scottish Dealmaker of the Year title. He has completed more than 100 deals worth more than £300m in total.
He made a substantial investment in cloud-based technology solutions to assist in providing first-rate support and advice to clients. Infinity also set up an online Covid-19 information hub within hours of the pandemic becoming a national emergency and has continued to invest in its team by recruiting graduates.
Infinity, which has a UK-wide client base, is recognised for its accountancy, research and development tax relief, mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance expertise. Most of its clients are connected to the energy sector in the Aberdeen area.
