ABERDEEN’S Union Street health clinic The SKN Clinic, a division of the SKN health network, has abruptly declared its shutdown via email to its clients and staff.
It is believed that patients scheduled at the Aberdeen clinic were unable to reach the facility. The entire staff at the clinic was also reportedly laid off without notice.

The establishment, located next to Amarone Italian restaurant, offered a range of skin treatments to the residents of Aberdeen. It promoted services like botox, lip fillers, tattoo removal, and laser hair removal, among others. It’s known that one client, who had paid £312 for a package of treatments, was extremely upset following the sudden shutdown.
The clinic, which had eight employees in Aberdeen, reportedly laid off all staff members in a phone call with the CEO this morning. The reason for the shutdown was not disclosed to the employees, who were only told how to shut down the store before they left. The shutdown was communicated through an email to clients and was reported by the local press.
A now former employee of seven years who didn’t want to be named, spoke to the Press and Journal, saying: “We’ve haven’t been told if we are receiving or July pay or any redundancy package. “We had no idea what’s going on. “If they can’t even pay us I have no idea where that leaves clients, it may have to be a separate legal matter with the company.”
The company’s statement, visible on the front of the building, reads:
“The statement, titled ‘important customer notice,’ read: “It is with regret that we are writing to inform you that the SKN Group, including sk:n clinics and The Harley Medical Group, has unfortunately ceased trading as of July 14 and we were not able to fulfil your upcoming appointment.”
The company’s website was also replaced by a message, which added: “We recognise this outcome will have a significant impact on our team members and our customers and we are deeply sorry for the stress and inconvenience this has caused.
“We are doing all we can to address the concerns of those affected and will be contacting all clients still awaiting test results as soon as possible. All further updates will be provided on this website and when available.”
SKN health network was one of Britain’s largest plastic surgery providers and had more than 70 branches across the UK.
