Originally borne out of the pandemic, the programme equips businesses with the tools to return to growth.
In the last wave of the programme, VisitAberdeenshire supported 275 tourism and hospitality businesses in the region including 225 one to one sessions and 28 webinars and workshops.
The first session, a travel trade masterclass delivered in partnership with VisitScotland, kicks off a packed schedule on Tuesday 26 September, on making the most of VisitScotland Connect 2024. The programme runs through to March 2024.
Chris Foy, CEO, VisitAberdeenshire, said: “The Tourism Development Programme is a pioneering and engaging deep dive into areas with growth potential. The needs of local businesses have evolved, and as the tourism sector moves at pace and faces new challenges, VisitAberdeenshire has created a programme that combines that need with market insights.”
VisitAberdeenshire also supports businesses with online training modules, aimed to improve employees’ knowledge of the destination. The Tourism Development Team is hosting local area networking meetings across the region, allowing businesses to meet the team face-to-face. Imagery, music, and video are available for download to complement tourism and hospitality businesses’ own marketing.
