Albacappella, a ladies’ four-part harmony chorus, is inviting its friends, neighbours and fellow music-lovers to a free concert to celebrate its move to Westhill.
The chorus, which recently performed at the Aberdeen Music Festival at Cowdray Hall, will showcase some of its most popular songs at the relaxed concert, taking place on Wednesday 18 June at the Westhill Community Church, Westhill, at 7.45pm.
A ladies’ a cappella choir, Albacappella was established in 2012, and has grown in number over the last few years, thanks to its exciting repertoire of modern and traditional music. In 2024, the chorus welcomed a new musical director, renowned operatic and musical theatre singer and singing coach, Sarah Estill.
Sarah says the relaxed concert is an opportunity to share the group’s music with its friends and neighbours, “We are excited to open our rehearsals to our local people. We moved to Westhill Community Church earlier this year and it is a wonderful space to practice our songs.

“We had a great time at the Music Festival last week and were delighted by the audience appreciation and fantastic comments from the adjudicator. It is an exciting time for Albacappella as we have welcomed lots of new members recently, who are all settling in well and looking forward to performing at the concert. From iconic Scottish ballads to heart-pumping rock songs, we are looking forward to showing off the wonderful acoustics in the large church sanctuary.”
An award-winning chorus, Albacappella competes at a national level as well as performing at large and small events across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. The group sings unaccompanied a cappella, in four-part harmony, with a wide repertoire of music from very recent to traditional tunes.
Entry to the concert is free with no booking required, and further information can be found by emailing [email protected]
