The Westhill, Aberdeenshire-based firm operates across the offshore wind, energy and utilities sectors to provide personnel, competency, training and due diligence services.

Commenting on his new role, Steve said: “I’m thrilled to be joining DiveSource at what is proving to be a very exciting time for the company.

“In addition to servicing the complex needs of our existing clients, we have been presented with compelling opportunities in new and emerging markets for the brand.

“I’m looking forward to working with a roster of international clients, tailoring DiveSource’s market-leading consultancy, competency and simulator-based offerings to their precise project requirements.”

DiveSource assists clients throughout the entire project lifecycle; from planning, initial survey work to site preparation, installation, and inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) programmes to decommissioning.

The company is experienced in the unique diving requirements of the offshore wind energy industry, including cable remediation operations, J-tube repairs, shallow water UXO removal and retrofitting of dynamic bend stiffeners.

The exclusive DiveSource competency assessment and verification system ensures personnel are trained and verified to industry-leading standards, while a dive control simulator and virtual reality subsea simulator allow training to be carried out in a controlled environment prior to mobilisation.

Sarah Hutcheon, Managing Director of DiveSource, added: “The addition of Steve to our team allows DiveSource to progress towards its next phase of growth, which will see several new initiatives launched within the next few months.

“Attracting someone of Steve’s experience to the business is a ringing endorsement of our strategic growth plans, which will continue DiveSource’s organic growth in key markets.”
