Celebrate the annual exhibition of the Royal Photographic Society in Scotland, showcasing a diverse selection of members’ work. The exhibition will then be available to view in the Café Bar throughout February.

Entering the Spotlight – Photography Competition
Amateur photographers are invited to take part in this annual competition run in conjunction with NESCol, which this year celebrates Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire communities. Inspired by the Save Aberdeen Arts Centre campaign, the theme encourages literal or metaphorical interpretations of “spotlight” and community. Open to adults, young people and NESCol students, with selected works exhibited at Aberdeen Arts Centre. Entries close 1 February 2026.

GREC Language Café
Hosted by the Grampian Regional Equality Council, the Language Café offers a welcoming space to practise English, meet new people and explore different cultures. Weekly sessions use conversation topics, guest speakers and language games to build confidence in a relaxed, friendly environment. Free to attend, no booking required.

The Granite City Speakers Club
With over 50 years of history in Aberdeen, the Granite City Speakers Club offers a friendly, supportive space to develop public speaking and presentation skills. Aberdeen Arts Centre is an independent arts venue in the heart of Aberdeen, operated by registered charity Castlegate Arts Ltd for over a quarter of a century.
For more than 60 years, Aberdeen Arts Centre has played a crucial role in the north east’s vibrant arts scene through its programme of performances, Creative Learning Programme for children and adults, and an Artist Development Programme to support local professional creatives.
n May 2025, the centre launched the Save Aberdeen Arts Centre campaign – a three-year fundraising drive to raise £660,000 to secure its future.
