Born in Aberdeen, her career has focussed solely on sales and recruitment in the energy, marine and industrial sectors, latterly as Offshore Marine Manager at Aberdeen-based Genesis Personnel. She also spent eight years with HPR UK as ROV Personnel Manager and two years with Saipem as Logistics & Recruitment Consultant. Within these roles Reid travelled extensively and gained an in-depth knowledge of the unique requirements of the oil and gas sector.

Her objectives are to grow Wings’ client portfolio across the energy and marine sectors in Scotland, particularly now that the oil and gas industry is seeing an upturn in Aberdeen. She will also work closely with Wings’ office in Stavanger in developing new business opportunities for clients operating in Norway and Scotland.

Leigh-Ann Reid commented: “I am delighted to join Wings Travel Management in this role as the company is growing and expanding not only in Scotland, but also globally particularly in Norway, the USA and Asia. I am looking forward to raising Wings’ profile and presence in Aberdeen because the company’s expertise in managing the specific travel needs of clients in the energy and marine sectors is exceptional. Wings’ people are experts at handling complex travel, logistics and risk management, whilst also generating cost savings, without compromising on traveller safety. Wings is also the only independent global travel management company that owns and manages all its operations around the world in key oil and gas markets, not just Aberdeen and Stavanger, but also Houston, Rio de Janeiro, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Angola, Mozambique, South Africa and Singapore.

“The last few years have been challenging for businesses in the oil and gas sector in Aberdeen. However, 2018 ended on a positive note as the energy sector began to pick up and more jobs were created,” she said. “In fact, last year Wings Travel Management saw a 15 per cent upturn in travel from its UK energy sector clients as the steady rise in oil prices reignited investment in oil and gas exploration. 2019 is promising to be an exciting year.”
