Wood Group has appointed Grant Angus as chief financial officer (CFO) for its Specialist Technical Solutions business.

Bringing more than two decades of industry experience, Grant moves into the role from his position as vice president, finance and administration for Wood Group’s Asset Life Cycle Solutions business in Europe.

Before joining Wood Group in 2012 as group head of internal audit, Grant spent 15 years in the professional services sector working for KPMG and Deloitte; latterly as a director focusing on the energy and utilities sector providing risk management, assurance, merger and acquisition support, and advisory input for a range for clients.

Bob MacDonald, CEO of Wood Group’s Specialist Technical Solutions business, said: “Grant will play an integral role in supporting our ambition to grow and enhance the innovative technical solutions we provide globally across an ever broadening range of sectors.

“His strong leadership, financial expertise and industry knowledge will be invaluable as we continue to drive our business forward, seeking new opportunities to provide competitive services to meet our clients’ challenges.”

Grant adds: “I look forward to leveraging my industry experience to support the continued extension and enhancement of our innovative technical solutions portfolio. My focus will be continuing to create value for existing clients and supporting opportunities to broaden our offering into new geographies and client sectors.”
