ABERDEEN-headquartered Wood has won a £95 million deal to provide a range of services on Spirit Energy’s mature Morecambe Bay gas fields.
It will help the operator extend field life, lower costs and reduce the carbon intensity of its assets in the East Irish East and at the Barrow gas terminal.
The five-year contract will create work for about 130 people across the offshore assets and onshore terminal and a small support team in Aberdeen.

“Our shared ambition is to leverage the greatest value from the Morecambe Hub in its late life phase, by focusing on driving down operational costs and creating opportunities to extend field life.”
