Norwell EDGE, the global online oil and gas technical training provider, is to partner with the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) in Tanzania, to explore joint working opportunities in both education and the wider oil and gas industry.<\/p>\n\n\n

The agreement between Norwell EDGE, headquartered in Aberdeen and UDSM will explore opportunities to work together on joint educational projects, outreach initiatives and to collaborate on oil and gas industry projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The UDSM\u2019s Petroleum Engineering students will also be given full access to Norwell EDGE\u2019s in-depth technical oil and gas awareness course which features 50 modules and certified assessments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mike Adams, Co-founder of Norwell EDGE, said: \u201cIt is fantastic to formalise our relationship with this respected university. The undergraduate students here have been part of our story for the last two years and were among the first in the world to test our new platform. As such, I\u2019m pleased to be able to continue that working partnership and I\u2019m confident this collaboration will open up new opportunities for both EDGE and the university.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The partnership is part of a long-standing commitment to the region which has seen Norwell EDGE\u2019s partner company Norwell Engineering, an international drilling management firm, active onshore in Tanzania for several years, including most recently on the NT-2 well for Aminex PLC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Professor Rutinwa, USDM\u2019s Acting Vice Chancellor, said: \u201cWe are delighted to enter into this agreement with Norwell EDGE and work together with them to further enhance learning opportunities for our students while also identifying projects on which we can collaborate.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since its launch in March 2018, Norwell EDGE has attracted users from more than 40 countries around the globe and counts international oil and gas operators in both the UK and Nigeria in addition to oil and gas service companies among its clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
