Simon Cowie, managing partner at Aberdeen-based Infinity Partnership, and his wife, office manager Tracy Cowie, completed the 18-mile walk from Duthie Park to Banchory in 4 hours and 30 minutes, raising £6,150 for Aberdeen Lads Club Community Project.

Other fundraisers taking part in the event on behalf of the charity took the total to £11,000.

The funds raised will enable the Lads Club to offer a variety of free activities for children this summer, including games, cooking and baking, nature walks, park visits, and STEM activities.

The initiative, entitled ‘Summer Fun Club’, ensures that many children, who may otherwise miss out, will have the opportunity to enjoy these enriching experiences.

Angie Johnston, Aberdeen Lads Club Community Project charity manager, said: “We are grateful to Simon and Tracy at Infinity Partnership for supporting us once again.

“The money raised by them and others will support our Summer Fun Club, and we are truly thankful to Simon and Tracy as well as all those who donated.”

Aberdeen Lads Club Community Project provides a safe and supportive environment for young people, offering recreational, educational, and social activities.

The club is dedicated to fostering personal growth and community engagement, supported by local volunteers and organisations.

Simon said: “The work the Lads Club does in the community is second to none. All of these activities will be free for every child attending.

“We are delighted to have played our part and would like to thank everyone for their support.”

Kiltwalk is an annual fundraising event where participants don kilts and embark on various walking challenges to support numerous Scottish charities.

In addition to its pre-school nursery, Aberdeen Lads Club Community Project runs an after-school club, junior and senior youth clubs, and a number of holiday clubs. It also offers a range of family support initiatives.

Previously, Infinity Partnership made a donation of £7,500 to allow artificial grass to be laid throughout the preschool nursery outdoor space, enabling its youngsters to play, run, and explore safely.

This donation coincided with a major renovation project that saw the Lads Club’s Tillydrone facility undergo significant modernisation.

Infinity Partnership is recognised for its accountancy, research and development tax relief, mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance expertise.

As a practice, Infinity is a five-time winner at the British Accountancy Awards. Its offices are based at Carden Place in the West End of the city.
