ABERDEENSHIRE based lifting equipment company, Red Rooster Lifting have raised a total of £5776.00 for local children’s charity, Cash for Kids.
On Tuesday 4th February, Michelle Ferguson from Cash for Kids was presented with the cheque at Red Rooster’s office in Oldmeldrum.

Cash for Kids responds to the needs of children in our communities so they can live life to the full and realise their individual potential.
Red Rooster Lifting were associated sponsors of the Beast Race 2019 and staff raised funds by completing the course in both Inverness and Banchory, holding a quiz night plus a Christmas jumper day over the festive season. The total of £2888 was then generously doubled by Red Rooster Lifting as part of their 30th Anniversary celebrations.
Bill Aitken, Managing Director of Red Rooster Lifting said: “We are delighted with the amount of money raised for Cash for Kids through our various activities. From braving the Beast Race to donning our Christmas jumpers, our team seized every opportunity to raise funds for this vital north-east service. It’s important for Red Rooster to support the local community and crucially, to support neighbouring charities that do so much to help disadvantaged children in the north-east.”
Michelle Ferguson said: “We cannot thank Red Rooster enough for choosing us to be their charity of the year during such a significant year for them. The amount raised is amazing and will go a long way to ensure that we continue to help as many children as we can in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire who are disadvantaged or disabled. We can only do this with the help and support from companies and staff such as Red Rooster fundraising on our behalf. We give out grants 3 times a year as well as our Coat Appeal and Mission Christmas campaigns and we rely on supporters such as Red Rooster to ensure that we have enough money to grant out and support the families and local groups throughout the year.
Last year Cash for Kids supported over 15,700 children in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire and we can only do this with the kindness and generosity of others and the staff at Red Rooster who completed the Beast Race and organised several fundraising events throughout the year, raising a huge amount which Red Rooster kindly match-funded which is truly fantastic!”
