Bancon acquire new site in Aberdeen

A CGI of Bancon Homes New Kinion Heights Development

BANCON Homes has purchased a new site in Aberdeen. Ideally located off Forrit Brae on the hillside between Newhills and Craibstone 63, two, three and four-bedroom high specification homes will be created as part of the company’s superb new Kinion Heights Development, which has already received planning consent.  Homes will range in style and design and be a mix of detached, semi-detached and terraced homes with parking options.

Just minutes from P & J Live, Aberdeen’s state-of-the-art event complex, and 15 minutes from Aberdeen city centre, the development is part of the wider Rowett development and is the next phase of Bancon Homes’ Kinion Place development which saw strong demand and previously sold out.

As part of this, the company can also today confirm that it will make a contribution of more than £1.1m to the local economy as part its planning obligations.  This will help to fund primary and secondary school education in the area as well as the provision of local community, recreation and healthcare facilities, and upgrades to the transport network.

Commenting on today’s announcement, Kevin McColgan, Bancon Group Chief Executive, said: “We are delighted to have acquired this superb site from Rowett Research Institute and are very much looking forward to starting the build shortly, with the first homes available to move into in the Summer of 2024.”
