ABERDEENSHIRE beer giant BrewDog has reported their busiest ever week according to co-founder James Watt.

Posting on LinkedIn, the boss of the Ellon-based brewer listed off his company’s achievements in 2023, including selling an average of 4.2 cans every second in UK stores.

However, last weeks sales of £3.54m have proven to be the busiest week on record for their bars, of which there are now 129 following the opening of BrewDog Gatwick.

Their flagship lager, Lost Lager, is the UK’s fastest growing with 180% more customers buying it in 2023 compared with 2022, while BrewDog comes in as the country’s second most loved beer brand, behind Budweiser, something Watt says they are “working hard” to change.

“2023 has been a blast overall,” said the CEO.

“Certainly not without its challenges and the trading environment has been incredibly difficult.

“But I am delighted with our overall performance and I feel so lucky to work with such a brilliant team and a team capable of posting the brilliant numbers above.”
