Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre says it is experiencing its busiest April in six years.

Events at the venue began when Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Councils, along with Aberdeen International Airport, welcomed delegates from across the globe for the 10th annual Routes Europe event.

The three-day event saw around 1,100 representatives from the aviation and tourism industries flock to Aberdeen, where they could meet and conduct business with some of the most influential aviation professionals from across the world.

April has also seen the return of the Betway Premier League Darts. Now in its 11th season, reigning champion Raymond van Barneveld is competing with current world champion Michael van Gerwin. On its first night, 3,800 darts fans were cheering them on in the GE Oil & Gas Arena.

Next week around 600 guests are expected for the VisitScotland Expo, which will allow around 200 companies with Scottish tourism products to showcase their wares to a range of buyers.

AECC’s Managing Director, Brian Horsburgh said: “It is great to welcome a large range of events to the venue. The line-up also includes Scotland’s Franchise Show, Aberdeen Whisky Festival and Energy Cities’ Annual Conference and we look forward to welcoming delegates and consumers to AECC.”
