A MARKETPLACE of charities showcasing support available to those living in Northfield took place on Saturday at Northfield Academy.

The Northfield Celtic Celebration is the last of three monthly events for those living in Northfield, hosted by the Community Learning and Development, Family Learning Team and is funded by the Northfield Partnership Forum.

Aberdeen City Council Co-Leader Councillor Christian Allard said: “The monthly events that have been taking place in Northfield have been beneficial in bringing the community together and ensuring that support is given to anyone in need.

“The rising cost of living is a worrying time for so many across the city and events such as these where anyone can find out about any help that they might be entitled to receive are so important for many.”

Agencies and charities that have supported the local community, including CFine, Adult Learning and Sport Aberdeen, showcased the services available to all in need.

Local band Eklectik provided entertainment, and were joined by Aberdeen Science Centre, facepainting from a local parent, and Handmade Changes, who design and create items and gifts.

JG Ross (Bakers) Limited provided breakfast and free food parcels were handed out by CFine.
