Musical Afternoon Tea at The Terrace

THE TERRACE Bar & Café at His Majesty’s Theatre will be stealing the show this week for a weekend of events celebrating food and theatre.

Following on from several hugely successful sell-out events last year, The Terrace presents Murder Mystery cabaret event Let’s Misbehave: Murder at the Montgomery Mansion on Thursday, March 7 and the Musical Afternoon Tea returns on Saturday, March 9 and Sunday, March 10, all in association with Right Here Productions.

Aberdeen Performing Arts Chief Executive, Sharon Burgess, said: “The popularity of the previous events tells us there is a huge appetite for both the Murder Mystery and the Musicals Afternoon Teas, and we know our friends from Right Here Productions will ensure a fun-filled few days at The Terrace!”

Right Here Productions’ Alison Telfer said: “We are delighted to be returning to The Terrace Bar & Café for more intrigue, melodrama and entertainment this week! Let’s Misbehave is one of my favourite scenarios and the backdrop of the Terrace and HMT is just perfect for it! And the song list for our Musicals Afternoon Tea this time is definitely my favourite so far – a great mix of familiar classics and some newer hits, so there really will be something for everyone!’

‘Let’s Misbehave’ offers a welcome drink followed by a three-course set dining experience in the beautiful surroundings of The Terrace Bar and Café, with the chance to test your detective skills in between courses. You are cordially invited to the Roaring Twenties and the grandest party you’ve ever seen. Anything can happen at a Montgomery affair – drinking, dancing… murder. Utilising spaces around the theatre to set the scene, this truly unique event lets you see His Majesty’s Theatre in a whole new light.

The Musicals Afternoon Teas serve up a delicious selection of sandwiches, savoury treats and assorted cakes with a choice of teas and coffees as well as a signature cocktail or glass of Prosecco alongside a generous helping of entertainment, bringing a slice of the West End to the North East. Songs from beloved musicals will be sung live from talented local performers, promising a memorable and entertaining afternoon.

Tickets are on sale now, and advance booking is recommended, available from www.aberdeenperformingarts.com, phone (01224) 641122 or visit the box office at His Majesty’s Theatre or the Music Hall.
