ENERGY services company AGR has appointed Scott Paton as head of finance for its UK, Mediterranean, and Africa operations.

Scott will be based in Aberdeen and will report to Andrew Stannard, AGR’s executive vice president UK/Med/Africa Regions, also located in the Granite City.

Scott said: “I’m so excited to be joining AGR at exactly the right time in their development as we look to further utilise our three decades of well management and subsurface expertise not only on the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) but across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.”

Scott comes to AGR on the back of a 25-year career in finance, much of it based in Aberdeen and in the oil and gas and maritime sectors.

AGR has been based in Aberdeen since 1997 with its recent work including decommissioning work on the Kinsale field offshore Ireland and the CNOOC-operated Buzzard Phase II (BPII) development project.
