Get INvolved in Inverurie’s BID: We Are Inverurie

04/05/2017

On Tuesday 9th May 2017 (at 5:30 pm) ‘We are INverurie’, Inverurie’s BID (Business Improvement District) is holding an event in Inverurie Town Hall to set out their plans for the next five years of the proposed BID to keep Inverurie at the forefront of Aberdeenshire’s most desirable places to live, work, visit and do business in.

‘We are INverurie’ is the banner under which the Inverurie BID’s Steering Committee is seeking to bring the efforts of the many volunteer groups and organisations in the town together in order to maximise their impact and effect.

Ashley Wilson, BID Co-ordinator said: “The Business Plan is the next stage in our BID process. We will be presenting this and outlining the BID Plans at a public event next Tuesday in Inverurie Town Hall. We encourage the business community and the residents of Inverurie to come along and find out more about BIDs, the ‘We are INverurie’ BID and the plans – and how they can get involved.”

Ian Sinclair, Chair of the We Are Inverurie Steering Committee said: “We are delighted with the support and interest we have had on the BID Project to date – not only from within the BID area, but from businesses and individuals in the wider Inverurie area who want to get involved. We have had support pledged by Aberdeenshire Council and Tesco Inverurie, as well as from bodies such as VisitAberdeenshire, VisitScotland and Abellio.”

Ian added: “This BID is vital for Inverurie continuing not just to survive but to thrive, grow and develop over the next decade. We are passionate about our town as are all those that live and work here – and we believe that a BID is the best way for Inverurie to pull together the various groups and organisations and to focus efforts. Please come to the event on the 9th May and find out more!”
