VETERAN North sea boss Bill Dunnett has been appointed as chief executive of Aberdeen-headquartered Ithaca Energy.

Mr Dunnett, who has 35 years experience in the oil and gas industry, takes over from Les Thomas, having left his previous job as CEO of Repsol Sinopec Resources UK in March.

For the past five years Mr Dunnett held the CEO position at Repsol-Sinopec Resources UK Limited, during which time he successfully led a large-scale transformation of the business.

Prior to this, he worked in various positions at Petrofac, Halliburton, Mobil North Sea and Shell.
