CALA Homes is working on a new £5.5m development on the former Silverburn House site in Bridge of Don.

The housebuilder has lodged a building warrant with the local authority for the 55-home site, five years after the former Baker Hughes building was demolished.

A spokesperson for CALA Homes (North) said: “Silverburn House is one of a number of strategic sites that we are currently considering.”

They added that more details will be released should the proposals progress.

Previous housing plans from Parklands View had been approved in 2022 but there’s since been a lack of progress made on the site.

The building warrant – which can be viewed here – shows that the development would contain a mixture of semi-detached and terraced housing.
