THE NORTH of Scotland wedding industry is gearing up for their annual awards ceremony which will take place on Sunday 25th February, 2024 at The Sandman Signature Hotel in Aberdeen. The top Tier Wedding Awards glittering black tie dinner is designed to showcase all that is best within the wedding industry in the North of Scotland. There will be twenty awards presented on the night including top wedding venue, photographer, make up artist, dress supplier, hairdresser, props supplier, entertainment and venue décor.
Only brides and grooms who married in the area throughout 2023 are qualified to vote. However they are not asked to judge each supplier, simply who they considered to be their top THREE performers. The suppliers are judged on those who gave them the best level of service from the time of booking to the wedding day itself and who operated in a professional manner at all times. The voting closed in mid January and votes are currently being verified and collated prior to the winners being announced at the awards ceremony. Only finalists and their guests are eligible to attend as the success of the awards has meant the event is heading towards its third successive sell out before tickets went on public sale.

As an incentive for the brides and grooms and to encourage them to vote they are entered into a free prize draw with the winners receiving a £500 holiday voucher.
The awards are hosted and sponsored by Aberdeen based entertainment and events provider Elite Promotions. John Anderson a partner with Elite said “Having a wedding awards event specific to the North of Scotland had been discussed for many years before we ran the first one in 2017. Even with the disruption of COVID the awards have grown in both popularity and the number of votes since then.
We received in excess of 3,000 votes this time and we were particularly pleased with the number of new suppliers who received votes for the first time. A wedding can have up to thirty large and small suppliers, however our format of only asking for their gold, silver and bronze votes has proved to be very popular. This is a unique event as it is the only social event that you will find over 100 North of Scotland wedding suppliers in the same room at the same time. We are looking forward to another fantastic night.”
