Academic and support staff available to take questions, as well as some of our current students so attendees can hear first-hand about their experiences of studying at RGU.

The keynote speaker for the day is James Bream, CEO of Katoni Engineering Ltd and Chair of Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) North East.

James brings a wealth of experience to the table, having served as a Director at Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce for 5 years before taking the helm at Katoni. His insights into business, education, and workforce development have been invaluable, making him a sought-after advisor to government committees and a prominent media commentator on the oil and gas sector.

At DYW North East, James passionately champions the ethos of bridging the gap between industry and education. He believes in empowering employers to actively engage in preparing young people for the challenges of tomorrow.

During the event, James will delve into various topics, including how Katoni identifies upskilling and development opportunities for its staff, the mutual benefits reaped by both employees and the business through such initiatives, the positive impact on retention and company culture, and the potential for stronger partnerships between RGU, DYW, and local businesses to create better career opportunities for young individuals.
